Week one (or two)

So the first week (2nd if you count orientation week) of school is done with one class (Comm. Lab) left to take. Overall impressions? I’m glad I decided to come here. This program is exactly what I was looking for. The energy level of both the teachers and students is high and the workload atm isn’t too overwhelming. I may change my tune about that in a few weeks. We’ll see.

I’ve met quite a few people and I’ve even managed to remember to names of a few. I find that adding nicknames to the end of the names helps me with remembering. E.g – “—– da grouch”, “—- trebek”, “—– the president”, “—– a.ka. Mr. Anderson”, etc. I’ve promised myself that I’ll try to be more outgoing and speak louder and such. So far it’s been going well… probably.

It’s not been all peaches and roses though. The wireless pissed me off as a tried to connect to it. I’m not sure how exactly their network is setup, but i couldnt get it to work through thinkvantage, had to connect directly using the window’s default software. And once I was on, it bounced me from connection to connection for about 15 minutes before stabilizing. Also, my archos can’t connect to nyupda which makes me a sadpanda. Basically mean’s I’ll have to lug my laptop in if I want to go on the intarweb.

Todo:

  • Phys Comp assignment *arglrglrglrglrgl*
  • Handle whatever NYU paperwork is still left to do
  • Zomg, clean up my place! and Laundry!!!
  • Start converting my site to all php… maybe
  • Figure out wth I can’t get the bullets on this list to show up

But not necessarily in that order.
